This is an on-again, off-again project to create, record, and disseminate a series of interviews with Graduate School of Design women including current students and alumnae. These interviews serve to illuminate aspects of women’s personal and professional lives, and through this reflexive process, highlight the contributions that women have made to the design field. Our aim in collecting these narratives is to reinforce the collective memory and history of women designers at the GSD, including their efforts toward furthering equality in the design fields. The project is two-fold: one aspect is the collection of narratives, and the other the editing and production of a podcast, which will soon be accessible from this page.

This project was active from 2015-2017, during which time WiD worked in tandem with the GSD Loeb Library Archives Collection and Alumni Relations. The project was restarted in 2020, when the podcast was added to disseminate the interviews.
