The WiD Mentorship Program aims to connect Harvard GSD female identifying students and alumnae to foster virtual and personal networks within the community and facilitate a dialogue around academia and professional practice. It serves as a platform to mobilize extended community members with the aim of offering opportunities for communication, career advice and support.

In the spring of 2019 we launched WiD’s first-ever mentorship pilot program. Twenty-three mentors and mentees were matched over the summer in an effort to test the format and receive feedback on the program. It was a hit! We moved forward with launching the official program this past fall for the 2019-2020 academic year, with over fifty initial matches. This program is one-way WiD is working to bridge the gap between academia and professional practice, and students and alumni.

If you have any questions regarding the program or would like to participate in the next academic year, email gsd.womxn.in.design@gmail.com
