The newly relaunched Women in Design group hosted its first event, an informal gathering and conversation over breakfast with Senior Loeb Scholar Billie Tsien.

Events prior to this include a 2002 panel entitled Women in Design, a 2005 panel entitled Taking Stock: Gender and Design and a 2008 program spanning four days entitled Progress in Process, hosting 18 speakers for candid conversations on topics including partnerships, women’s roles internationally, and women’s larger role in society. This program included an exhibition documenting the changing role of women at the GSD, mapping the whereabouts of almost 500 graduates, and highlighting the dearth of female practitioners.
