International Women’s DAy 2017 is convened around the idea of re-mapping. WiD’s event series kicked off on March 2 with a keynote talk from Petra Blaisse, founder and lead designer at Inside Outside. The following week, WiD hosts a gallery opening and workshop with Doris Cole (MArch ’63) in the GSD’s Frances Loeb Library and a talk with assistant professor of architecture Jennifer Bonner (MArch ’09), design critic in architecture Zeina Koreitem (MDes ’16), and Eliot Noyes Professor of Architectural Theory/Associate Dean for Academic Affairs K. Michael Hays. On March 8, WiD hosted a reception featuring landscape architecture chair Anita Berrizbeita (MLA ’87), professor of urban planning (and urban planning program director) Ann Forsyth, urban planning & design chair Diane E. Davis, and professor of architecture (and architecture program director) Grace La (MArch ’95).
